Christmas countdown!

We are close to 12 days of Christmas, but I found out that the 12 days of Christmas really start on December 26? Did you all know this? Why didn't anyone tell me?

Definition from Wikipedia:

The Twelve Days of Christmas, and the associated evenings of those twelve days (Twelve-tide), are the festive days beginning the evening of Christmas Day (December 25) through the morning of Epiphany (January 6). The associated evenings of the twelve days begin on the evening before the specified day. Thus, the first night of Christmas is December 25–26, and Twelfth Night is January 5–6. This period is also known as Christmastide.

Anyways, Christmas is in the air, we have been having cooler weather, we are hoping for snow! Hey it happened three years ago! I always remember because that's the year I met Mike, for Christmas he gave me a little horseshoe with diamonds.

We have a busy weekend. It's time to put up the final touches on the tree, the garland, take out Christmas plates. Where's the ribbon and the scotch tape! Deck the halls!

I will start making cookie recipes and baking treats to pass out to teachers, special friends that helped us out through the year! And I'll save some dough to make cookies for Santa on Christmas eve!

I knew that. That's why it drives me crazy when people take their tree down the day after the 25th. What happened to the 12 days? I on the other hand, can't get enough of our tree. I love it so much that some times I turn it in to a Valentines tree.
CHRISTMAS IS COMING THE GOOSE IS GETTING FAT, PLEASE PUT A PENNY IN THE OLD MAN'S HAT!!!!

I love the holidays! I heard someone say yesterday that Dec 26 is the saddest day of the year, I have to agree. It's sad knowning its all over until next year. That's why we leave the tree up for a while. It makes us feel like we are celebrating a little longer.

Love you,
Erica
