Happy Kings Day!
For Unto us a Child is Born - Isiah 9:1-7
As the Biblical story reads of the three kings who followed a bright star of Bethlehem to bring gifts to the Christ child.
And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Maryhis mother, and fell down, and worshippedhim: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh.
A few Christmases ago, Ryan was in the Middle East and had the idea of sending me a treasure chest. In the treasure chest he placed gold coins, frankincense and myrrh. In it, he attached a message that included that scripture. Well, it was such a beautiful gift that the other husbands asked him to make the same gift for their wives. It was neat when all the Navy wives received their Christmas treasure box, they all guessed that it was Ryan's idea because he was the only husband they could think of that was "special enough" to think of such a beautiful gift. That treasure chest sits in our living room year-round. Happy Three Kings Day! Love you, Erica
