Grandpa suffers a mild stroke

It was early afternoon when Grandpa suffered a mild stroke, he was serving himself a glass a milk, when my aunt noticed it was dripping down his mouth to right side.  He was taken to the hospital.

As all the family received notice we each started showing up to the hospital, I got to visit with him for a few minutes he was talking fine and trying to explain what had happened.  I explained to him all would be well to relax.  Little did the whole family know that it would be a long process, in total Grandpa was in the hospital for 30 days.  During his stay at the hospital he was give rehab for his right side to work again.  He is currently conscience of everything he says and does, he assists himself with a walker to walk and is on a feeding tube.  We have not heard of any good news regarding his feeding tube, but we are grateful that he is at home, able to move around.

My Grandfather has had to deal with change, from walking 3 miles a day, exercising, caring for himself.  He has had to focus on rehabilitating himself to be able to walk.  Through all this he often talks to us of his continuence faith in God!  As a family we continue to pray to God that we may be granted our petitions "good health for my Grandpa!"

Every time we would go visit Grandpa at hospital Mica would sing to him!

Your thoughts and prayers are greatly appreaciated!
