Today I met up with Elena, Elena is an old friend from when I worked at City of Mission. I always talked to Elena, really never about anything it was always about office politics, our children. It was usually just briefly over a piece a cake or snack.
Recently she started to help Paul with his bookkeeping, and I had the opportunity to sit and visit with her. In talking I found how dedicated she is to reading scripture. She expressed how for years she had always prayed to God for answers to any troubles she may have been going through in her life. As I continued to share small things going on in my life, she continued to say "pray about it, Yvonne", "pray about it, God will give you an answer."
Today was no different, as we talked over dinner about everything under the stars, she continued with the same advise "pray about it", and she continued by saying "sometimes when I need a quick answer from God, I read scripture, HE has alot for us in scripture."
Although it is something so small it is a message that I should remember and apply it to my own life, but a message that I can share with others as well! So to those friends that are going through rough patches in your lives ~ pray about it and seek word from God through his scriptures.
