Besides having fun Mike and I gained to our marriage to a new level. Because after all is said and done, kids go off to college then marriage. It comes down to that he and I will be together hopefully continuing to make new memories, if not reminicing our old ones. While on the road we talked about history, we found it interesting how there were different tribes of Indians as we traveled through the seven states. As we stopped in different casinos we met different people a waiter from Los Angles who had come to help his relatives accommodate in Las Vegas had ended up staying to live there, but now with econmy changing he was having second thoughts about living in Vegas and wanted to return to LA. A young lady who was a dealer at a casino who originally was from Argentina, was so grateful that she had a job because it was becoming harder to find work. We met a man from Tennesse that had come to visit Tombstone, Az and loved the weather so he decided to stay to live. You start seeing how people go from one place to another all to fill needs. As we were traveling I would ask Mike of all the states we have visited IF we had to move where would you pick and he would say "Texas". I said Las Vegas. But I have to admit there is no place like home. My skin felt such a relief when we got home, from all the dry and sometimes cold climate. We actually had bean and egg for dinner! It was an exciting trip and we have been truely blessed to have been able to take this amazing vacation!
Next year hopefully we will be able to travel east of Texas. . . Mike has a sister in Indiana. . hmm!
We have started our trip to Texas. Next we stop to sleep in Del Rio, Texas. In the morning we started heading home. It was funny because Mike refused to eat anything for breakfast, he wanted tacos - bean and egg. Unfortunately we didn't want to take to much time looking for something, I got Whataburger. We headed to Laredo. In Laredo we stopped again at Whataburger where Mike decided he would have a burger.
Spooky . . . tunnel!
We struck gold - a whole chip!
Panning for Gold . . .
Shooting old gun(filled with a paintball).
Stagecoach - everyone still dresses in western attire.
Tombstone, Arizona - we ate at this little diner, Mike had a bison burger, hopefully not the one on the wall.
